Tips: One package will dye 1 pound of dry fabric (i.e. 2 adult large t-shirts). To achieve a darker or more intense color, double dye quantity. For best results, add 1 cup of salt to dye bath for cotton, rayon, or linen. Add 1 cup of vinegar to dye bath for nylon, silk or wool. If dyeing to a lighter or different color, use Rit Color Remover before dyeing to lighten existing color in most fabrics. Use Rit ColorStay Dye Fixative immediately after dyeing cotton, linen or rayon to maximize color retention.
