Safe Handling Instructions: This product was prepared from inspected and passed meat and/or poultry. Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard. Cooking Instructions Oven: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Remove roast from package and season as desired. 2. In an oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat, add 2 tbsp of oil and heat until it begins to smoke slightly. 3. Place roast in hot pan and brown on all sides. 4. Remove from stove top and add 1 to 2 cups of water or broth to pan. 5. Place roast fat side up in pan and cover with foil. Place in oven and cook for approximately 30 minutes per pound or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F to 170 degrees F. For shredded pork, cook roast for an additional hour to an internal temperature of 200 degrees F. Shred with two forks and serve. Slow Cooker 1. Remove roast from package and season as desired. 2. Place roast in slow cooker, add 2 cups of water or broth. Place lid on slow cooker and set heat to high.3. Cook on high for up to 6 hours or until internal temperature reaches 200 degrees F. If roast is fork tender prior to 6 hours, reduce heat setting to low. Remove roast and slice or shred as desired. Grill / Smoker 1. Preheat one side of grill to high. 2. Remove roast from package and season as desired. Place roast on hot side of grill (side with heat on) and cook until desired color or grill marks are obtained on all sides. 3. Move roast to cool side of grill and continue to cook roast while maintaining a grill temperature of approximately 350 degrees F. Half way through cooking, the roast can be wrapped in foil to help maintain juiciness. 4. Cook to a minimum internal temperature or 160 degrees F. For a shredded pork, cook wrapped in foil to 200 degrees F. Great for slow cooking. Keep refrigerated or frozen.
