For great tasting tacos & tortillas. What you will need: 1 1/2 lbs ground beef or boneless chicken breasts. 1 package Ortega 40% less sodium taco seasoning mix (included). 8 whole grain taco shells or 6 whole wheat soft tortillas (incl.). 1 package Ortega taco sauce (included). 1 cup water. Toppings: Ortega diced green chiles, shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese, black olives, avocado, & vegetables. 1. Brown ground beef or chicken breasts*; drain. Add water and taco seasoning mix. Heat until thickened, stirring often. 2. Remove taco shells from plastic container. Bake shells in preheated 350 degrees F oven 3 to 4 min. or microwave on high 40 to 60 seconds. 3. Remove tortillas from plastic pouch. Microwave on high 10 to 15 seconds until warm. Or warm in small skillet over medium-high heat, turning frequently. 4. Fill taco shells or tortillas with meat or chicken mixture and top with taco sauce and other toppings. Store unused taco shells or tortillas in an airtight plastic bag or container Do not prepare taco shells in toaster oven *For boneless chicken breasts, cut up into strips and cook until no longer pink.
