Before first use boil in water for 5 minutes or sterilize. Allow to stand for an additional 5 minutes before giving it to baby. During sterilization a small amount of water may enter the nipple. This can be expelled by squeezing the nipple. Clean before each use. Never dip the nipple in sweet substances. This can cause tooth decay. To ensure safety and hygiene replace the pacifier every 1-2 months. Do not worry if the pacifier becomes lodged in the mouth. It can not be swallowed and is designed to cope with such an event.
