Enriched Farina: 1 lb 12oz 1qt+ 1/2 cup; Milk: 3qt+2-1/2 cups; Water: 7lb + 3 qt + 2-1/2 cups. Salt (Optional): 2 tsps. Raisins (or prunes, finely chopped (Tip: Partially freeze prunes for easier chopping): Directions: 1. Prepare farina according to package directions using milk and water. 2. Fold raisins, honey and almonds into prepared farina. Transfer to breakfast bar. Hold on medium setting (No.5). Keep covered whenever possible. Direct Heat Method: Combine water and salt in heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil. Slowly stir in farina with a wire whip to avoid lumping. Return to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer about 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently. Cereal will appear thin, but will thicken upon standing. Steam-Jacketed Kettle Method: Using the above proportions, add farina very slowly with a wire whip to boiling water, stirring constantly. Cook over low heat 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently.
