One of the sources of the green tea in this product comes from the Ambootia Tea Estate, nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, in Darjeeling, India. A special place devoted to principles of sustainability-both environmental and social-Ambootia is well-known for its extremely high quality tea, as well as for its forward-thinking practices. Using principles of organic agriculture, the estate cares as much for its people as it does for its plants. The community benefits from Fair Trade practices, which in part contribute to things like free education for the children, free medical treatment and social security-type pensions.
