Safe Handling Instructions: This product was prepared from inspected and passed meat and/or poultry. Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard. Cooking Instructions: Boiled - Most Recommended: Place frozen pierogies in boiling water for 7 - 8 minutes until they float to the top and are well puffed. Do not overcook. Drain in colander toss gently in melted butter or margarine. Serve with your choice of favorite toppings like sour cream, sauteed onions, or bacon. Pan Fried - A Traditional Favorite: Cover bottom of frying pan with cooking oil, margarine, or butter and heat to 190 degrees C (375 degrees F), or medium heat. Place frozen pierogies into frying pan, cover with lid and fry for 5 minutes on one side and then 5 minutes on the flip side. Remove serve with your choice of favorite toppings like sour cream, sauteed onions, or bacon. Deep Fry: To successfully deep fry pierogies, first preheat cooking oil to 160 degrees C (325 degrees F) or low heat. Place frozen pierogies into pot, cover the pot and fry for 5 - 6 minutes. Remove and let pierogies cool, as they are very hot and can cause injury. Serve with your choice of favorite toppings like sour cream, sauteed onions, or bacon. Product must be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) or greater before serving. Warning: Splashing oil may cause injury. Only use equipment designed for deep frying frozen food. Keep frozen.
