Cooking Instructions: Boil - Most Recommended: Place frozen pierogies in boiling water for 7 - 8 minutes until they float to the top and are well puffed. Do not overcook. Drain in colander toss gently in melted butter or margarine. Serve with your choice of favorite toppings like sour cream, sauteed onions, or bacon. Pan Fried - A Traditional Favorite: Cover bottom of frying pan with cooking oil, margarine, or butter and heat to 190 degrees C (375 degrees F), or medium heat. Place frozen pierogies into frying pan, cover with lid and fry for 5 minutes on one side and then 5 minutes on the flip side. Remove serve with your choice of favorite toppings like sour cream, sauteed onions, or bacon. Bake - A Light and Crispy Alternative: Preheat oven to 385 degrees F. Place frozen pierogies on a non-stick baking pan. Spray both sides of the pierogies with cooking oil, or brush pierogies with light coating of cooking oil. Bake the first side for 10 minutes and flip side for 5 minutes. Serve with your choice of favorite toppings like sour cream, sauteed onions, or bacon. Microwave: To successfully microwave pierogies, first place 4 frozen pierogies in hot top water for 3 minutes. Remove pierogies from water and place in microwave dish. Cover with vented plastic wrap and microwave on high power for 2 minutes. Remove and serve with your choice of favorite toppings like sour cream, sauteed onions, or bacon. Deep Fry: To successfully deep fry pierogies, first preheat cooking oil to 160 degrees C (325 degrees F) or low heat. Place frozen pierogies into pot, cover the pot and fry 5 - 6 minutes. Remove and let pierogies cool, as they are very hot and can cause injury. Serve with your choice of favorite toppings like sour cream, sauteed onions, or bacon. Product must be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) or greater before serving. Warning: Splashing oil may cause injury. Only use equipment designed for deep frying frozen food. Keep frozen.
