Veterinary care is important! As part of a total health care plan for your special pet we recommend annual veterinary check-ups and vaccinations. Feeding Directions: Adult dogs: Adult dogs with normal activity may be fed once daily. Depending on your dog's age and activity, serving sizes may vary slightly from the recommended daily feeding guide portions. For pregnant or lactating females, we recommend Companion Vitaful Original Formula Dog Food. Feeding tip: Changes to your pet's feeding should be made gradually Blend increasing amounts of Vitaful healthy weight adult dog food with his/her current food until your pet has a 100% Companion Vitaful Healthy Weight Adult Dog Food diet. Use the transition feeding tips as a guide. Remember to provide plenty of fresh, clean water in a clean container at all times. Close package tightly between feedings or store in an airtight container to keep product fresh. Recommended daily feeding guide: Dog Size - Maintenance** - Weight Loss**: Dog size - 3 to 12 lbs. Maintenance** - 1/2 to 1-1/4 cups. Weight loss - 1/3 - 1cup. Dog size - 13 to 25 lbs. Maintenance** - 1 1/4 to 2 1/2 cups. Weight loss - 1- 1 3/4 cups. Dog size - 26 to 50 lbs. Maintenance** - 2 1/4 to 3 1/2 cups. Weight loss - 1 3/4 - 3cups. Dog size - 51 to 100 lbs. Maintenance** - 3 1/2 to 6 cups. Weight loss - 3 - 5cups. Dog size - 100 + lbs. Maintenance** - 6cups + 1/2 cup for each 12 lbs. of body weight over 100 lbs. Weight loss - 5cups + 1/2 cup for each 12 lbs. of body weight over 100 lbs. **Amounts are based on a standard 8 oz dry measuring cup. Calorie content.
