McCormick Slow Cookers French Dip Seasoning Mix


 

Directions

Prep time: 10 minutes makes 10 servings. You will need. 1 pkg. McCormick seasoning mix. 1 large onion, thinly sliced. 2 1/2 to 3 lbs. beef bottom round or rump roast, trimmed. 2 cups water. Submarine, hoagie or crusty rolls, toasted. Directions. 1. Place onion and roast in slow cooker. 2. Mix seasoning mix and water until blended. Pour over roast. Cover. 3. Cook 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high. Remove roast from slow cooker. Skim fat from au jus. 4. Slice beef into thin slices. Return beef to slow cooker. Serve on toasted rolls with au jus on the side for dipping. Slow cooker tip: for best results, do not remove cover during cooking. Try this twist! French onion beef brisket: use 3lbs. beef brisket, cut in half, in place of the roast. Place 1/2 of the brisket in slow cooker. Top with 1 pkg. (8 oz.) sliced mushrooms and 1 onion, cut into wedges. Mix Seasoning Mix, 2 cups water, 1/4 cup flour and 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce. Pour 1/2 of the mixture over brisket. Top with remaining brisket and seasoning mixture. Cover. Cook 8 hours on low. Makes 10 servings.
