A layered and complex 14 year old whisky of mass distinction inspired by the original recipe, matured in a combination of first fill bourbon and French red wine casks. Scottish barley un-chill filtered. No color added. Many legends have surfaced over the last 25 years at Bruichladdich Distillery. To this day no one knows the real story of how the Royal Navy came to lose one of its yellow submarines. However, many know how it was found, and the whisky that marked its return. When Islay fishermen, John Baker and Harold Hastie, landed the navy submersible off our shores 20 years ago, the Yellow Submarine was born. A 14 year old limited edition, originally bottled and gifted to the Royal Navy when they arrived at Bruichladdich Pier to collect their lost property.
