No. 1 doctor recommended. Noise reduction rating 33 db. Made with comfy cush comfort foam. Ultimate comfort. High noise reduction rating. Sleep, Power Tools, Motor Sports, Shooting Sports, Loud Concerts, etc. Information required by the E.P.A. The level of noise entering a person's ear, when hearing protector is worn as directed, is closely approximated by the difference between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the NRR. Example: 1. The environmental noise level as measured at the ear is 92 dB(A). 2. The NRR is 33 decibels (dB). 3. The level of noise entering the ear is approximately equal to 59 dB(A). Sound attenuation data (ANSI Standard S3.19-1974) NRR 33 dB. Test Frequency in HZ: 125; Mean Attenuation in dB: 39.4; Standard Deviation in dB:4.9. Test Frequency in HZ: 250; Mean Attenuation in dB: 39.5; Standard Deviation in dB:5.4, Test Frequency in HZ: 500; Mean Attenuation in dB: 41.8; Standard Deviation in dB:4.5, Test Frequency in HZ: 1000; Mean Attenuation in dB: 40.8; Standard Deviation in dB: 3.0, Test Frequency in HZ: 2000; Mean Attenuation in dB: 37.0; Standard Deviation in dB: 1.7, Test Frequency in HZ: 3150; Mean Attenuation in dB: 44.1; Standard Deviation in dB:3.5, Test Frequency in HZ: 4000; Mean Attenuation in dB: 46.9; Standard Deviation in dB:3.4, Test Frequency in HZ: 6300; Mean Attenuation in dB: 46.1; Standard Deviation in dB: 3.1, Test Frequency in HZ: 8000; Mean Attenuation in dB: 45.3; Standard Deviation in dB: 2.2. Noise reduction rating 33 decibels (when used as directed). The range of noise reduction ratings for existing hearing protectors is approximately 0 to 30 (high numbers denote greater effectiveness). EPA: Label required by USEPA regulation. 40 CFR Part 211 Subpart B. www.MacksEarplugs.com. (586) 427-7560. Made in U.S.A.

Warnings

Warnings: Remove earplug slowly with twisting motion to gradually break the seal. Rapid removal may damage eardrum. Keep away from infants and small children. These earplugs are non-toxic, but may interfere with breathing if caught in windpipe, which could lead to serious injury or death. Caution: For noise environments dominated by frequencies below 500 Hz, the C-weighted environmental noise level should be used. Improper fit of this device will reduce its effectiveness in attenuating noise. Although hearing protectors can be recommended for protection against the harmful effects of impulsive noise, the Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and may not be an accurate indicator of the protection attainable against impulsive noise, such as gunfire. Constant or repetitive exposure to impulsive noise may lead to serious injury, temporary or permanent deafness. The Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) calculated from the attenuation data is 33 dB. Mack's Ultra Soft Foam Earplugs must be properly fitted to attenuate noise effectively. Refer to directions above for proper fit. Federal law prohibits removal of this label prior to purchase.
