Serving suggestions: Our Alessi princess sauce is best when heated only to the point of being ready to serve. Overheating results in the continuation of cooking and changes the flavor. Heat in a medium, heavy bottomed pan and serve over cooked "al dente" pasta. Top with fresh basil leaves and freshly grated cheese, if desired. Refrigerate after opening. Vodka sauce: In a medium saucepan, sauté 2 tbsp. minced shallots (or onion) in 1 tbsp. butter until translucent and softened, being careful not to burn. Add 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes (optional). Stir in one jar of Alessi princess sauce and 1/4 cup of vodka. Stir until heated. Spoon sauce over cooked, drained ravioli or "al dente" pasta. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
