Directions

Basic cooking instructions: 1 lb/453.6gbeans 12 c. water. 2 tsp. salt. Hand sort and wash before use. Cover beans with water, soak overnight. Drain and rinse. Put beans in crock pot and cover with water 3" above beans. Add seasonings, veg or meat as desired. Cook on low 8-10 hours, high 4-5 hours, or on stove top 2 hours. Additional ingredient ideas include: meaty ham hock, diced bacon, bay leaf, garlic salt, or boullion cubes. Note: beans are a natural product and despite the use of the most modern cleaning equipment and quality programs; it is not always possible to remove all foreign material. Please hand sort and wash before use.
