To open - lift tab carefully. Directions: With hot water: Empty packet into bowl. Add 1/2 cup of boiling water and stir. For best results, let stand 1 to 2 minutes before serving. Stir and serve. Microwave directions: Empty packet into a microwave-safe bowl. Add 2/3 cup water (or milk) and stir. Microwave uncovered bowl on high for 1 to 2 minutes or until cereal begins to thicken. Carefully remove hot bowl from oven. Stir and serve. Note: Use a pot holder to handle hot bowl. For thicker oatmeal, use less water. For thinner oatmeal, use more water.
