Lock before pumping. With lever in down position, press pump head onto valve at 90 degrees angle. Push lever Up to lock before pumping. Pump is pre-set for Schrader valves. To convert pump head for Presta valves: move thumb lever to down position, twist off cap, remove and reverse internal components and replace cap as shown in the above illustration.
