Instructions: 1. Use steel wool and degreaser to clean rims. 2. Remove old brake shoe from brake arm. 3. Look at old shoe washer and spacers. 4. Install new brake shoe using same spacing on arm as old shoe. 5. Gently squeeze brake lever until shoe is flat aginst the rim. 6. Tighten nut. 7. Make sure the shoe is not rubbing the tire. 8. Release brake lever. 9. Adjust brake cable so brake shoe is 1/8 inches away from rim. 10. Periodically check brake shoes and cables for tightness and proper adjustment. 11. Test ride. Squeeze brake levers. If brake shoes screech, loosen brake shoe nut and position shoe so the front of the shoe touches the rim first. 12. If brake shoe still screeches, re-clean the rims, then repeat installation.
