Directions

Cooking Instructions: 1. Combine cold water 1 or low-sodium stock (6.5 cups) and Gumbo Base in a 4 qt. pot. Bring to a boil on medium-high heat, stirring often. 2. Add cooked chicken and/or sausage (2-2.5 lbs.). Bring to a second boil then reduce heat to low. 3. Cover pot and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally. Remove from heat. Ensure meat is thoroughly cooked to 165 degrees F. Serve over cooked rice. Enjoy! * For Seafood Gumbo: Follow step one until boiling. Add uncooked seafood, cover and continue boiling 3-4 minutes. Ensure seafood is thoroughly cooked to 145 degrees F. Add meat or seafood for a complete meal.
