Inspired by my grandfather’s. Famous garden. Everybody in Conneaut, Ohio knows that if you say hi to Grandpa Pete as he sits out on his front porch during the summer months, he's likely to ask you if you need some garlic, onions, peppers, zucchini, squash - you name it. And the peppers, so many peppers! Always hanging in the kitchen to dry. His mother taught him to garden. She converted every inch of her yard into a garden so she could grow food for her family during The Great Depression. Grandpa learned everything from her, and I learned from him.
