Directions for 1 serving: Stove-top: 1. Combine 1/2 cup oats and 1 cup water or milk in small saucepan. Heat to boiling. 2. Reduce heat to medium. Cook and stir 1 minute or until desired consistency. 3. Let stand uncovered 1 minute (oatmeal will thicken as it cools). Refrigerate leftovers. Note: use less water for thicker oatmeal or more water for thinner oatmeal. Microwave: Important: microwave times may vary. Bowl and oatmeal will be very hot! 1. Combine 1/2 cup oats and 3/4 cup water or milk in microwavable bowl. 2. Microwave uncovered on high 1 to 2 minutes. Caution: hot! 3. Remove carefully. Stir; let stand uncovered 1 minute (oatmeal will thicken as it cools). Refrigerate leftovers. Note: use water for thicker oatmeal or more water for thinner oatmeal.
