Duncan Hines Decadent Brownie Mix Red Velvet

You will need: Large eggs. Water. Vegetable oil. Fudgy brownies - 1 egg - 1/3 cup water - 1/3 cup oil. Cake-like brownies - 2 eggs - 2 tbsp water - 1/3 cup oil. Baking instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F for metal and glass pans.* 325 degrees F for dark or coated pans. Grease sides and bottom of pan with shortening or oil spray. 2. Empty brownie mix, egg(s), oil, water in a large bowl. Stir until well blended (about 50 strokes). Spread into a greased pan. 3. Bake following chart below. *Add 3-5 minutes for dark or coated pans. Brownies are done when toothpick inserted 1 inch from the edge of pan comes out clean. Pan size - 8" x 8". Bake time - 35-38 min. Pan size - 9" x 9". Bake time - 30-33 min. Cool completely in pan on wire rack before cutting and serving. 4. Cut a small opening at an angle on the corner of the cream cheese pouch with scissors. Drizzle the cream cheese in thin lines over the brownies. Lower fat recipe: (see side panel for nutritional information) prepare and bake brownie following directions above except using 1 egg, 1 tablespoon water and 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce. Reduce baking time 1-2 minutes. High altitude: (over 3,500 ft) preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Stir 1/4 cup flour into brownie mix. Mix and prepare according to above directions.
