Goya Shells No. 24 with Spring Vegetables: Ingredients; 16 oz. (1 Lb.) Goya Shells No. 24. 4 tbsp. Butter, divided. 1 carrot, finely chopped. 1 medium onion, finely chopped. 6 small plum tomatoes chopped. 8 medium to large shiitake mushrooms (12 oz.), steamed and sliced 1/2 thick or button mushrooms sliced 1/4 thick. 8 large Goya Green Asparagus. 3/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth. 1 cup thinly sliced fresh basil. 2 red peppers. Goya Salt and Pepper to taste. Directions; 1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. 2. While pasta is cooking, heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the carrot and onion, cook until softened for about 4 minutes. Add the tomatoes and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 3 minutes. Add mushrooms, asparagus, chicken broth, basil and red peppers. Stir well. Add remaining butter, increase the heat to high and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce boils and the butter is completely melted. 3. Drain pasta and transfer to a serving bowl, pour vegetable Sauce over pasta and toss lightly. Add salt and pepper to taste. If it’s Goya it has to be good. Step 1: Select number of servings serving 8. Pasta 1 box. Water 4 qts. salt(optional) 1 tbsp. Step 2: Time for boiling. 10 minutes al dente. 11 minutes firm. 12 minutes tender. Step 3: Directions for cooking. 1. Bring 4 quarts of water to boil for each pound of pasta; salt to taste, if desired. 2. Add pasta and return to a boil, stirring occasionally. 3. Boil uncovered 10 to 12 minutes or until desired tenderness. 4. Remove from heat; drain. Cooking instructions are a guideline and may be altered slightly. To keep cooked pasta from sticking for later use, toss with olive oil and refrigerate.
