Directions

Cooking instructions: Place the contents into 8 cups of boiling, salted water. Boil the spaetzle for about 17 minutes or until tender and firm. Strain the spaetzle and add 1 tbsp of olive oil or butter to prevent them from ticking together. Serve as desired. Best before: see date on bottom. Store in a cool, dry place protected from light.

Serve the cheese spaetzle with the onions on top. Tip: a side salad goes great with this dish. Healthy choice. Spaetzle with vegetables: Cook Bechtle egg spaetzle according to the instructions and strain well. Chop an onion, 1 garlic clove, 1 red pepper, 1 zucchini, and 2-3 carrots and saute in olive oil for a few minutes. Add some vegetable broth, fresh herbs, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix the vegetables and spaetzle together in a serving dish and garnish with parmesan cheese.
