Directions

Feeding directions: Increase or decrease the serving size based on breed, type, activity or environmental conditions. Kittens should have food available throughout the day, so split their total daily amount into several meals. The total daily amount for kittens is approximately one to two cups. Kitten formula may be fed dry or moistened with water. If you are mixing with water, mix one part kitten formula to no more than three parts water. The nutritional needs of each cat may vary. Adjust amount of feed to maintain a proper weight. Reproduction feeding: pregnant and nursing cats need kitten formula to ensure kitten development and milk production while still maintaining proper weight. No supplements necessary: Companion® Kitten Formula provides 100% complete and balanced nutrition. There is no need to add supplements, unless your veterianarian specifically recommends it. Remember to provide plenty of fresh, clean water in a clean container at all times. Veterinary care is important! As part of a total health care plan for your special pet we recommend annual veterinary check-ups and vaccinations. Close package tightly between feedings. Store in a cool, dry place. Feeding instructions for kittens 3 weeks up to 1 year of age: Age: 3 to 6 weeks. Daily amount**: 1/4 to 1/3 cup. Frequency: 3 to 4 times a day. Age: 7 weeks to 6 months. Daily amount**: 1/3 to 3/4 cup. Frequency: 3 to 4 times a day. Age: 7 months to 1 year. Daily amount**: 1/2 to 3/4 cup. Frequency: 2 times a day. **Using a standard 8 oz measuring cup. Adult cat daily feeding table*: Weight of cat, pounds: 3 to 5. Inactive cats, cups†: 1/5 to 1/3. Active cats, cups†: 3/8 to 5/8. Weight of cat, pounds: 5 to10. Inactive cats, cups†: 1/3 to 1/2. Active cats, cups†: 5/8 to 7/8. Weight of cat, pounds: 10 to 15. Inactive cats, cups†: 1/2 to 3/5. Active cats, cups†: 7/8 to 1 1/4. Weight of cat, pounds: 15 to 20. Inactive cats, cups†: 3/5 to 3/4.
