Stove top instructions: 1. In a medium saucepan with tight fitting lid, bring 1 1/2 cups (12 oz.) of water to a boil. *If adding meat, add at this time. 2. Add 2 tbsp of butter (optional) then 1 package of Vigo fried rice, stirring while boiling for 1 minute. 3. Cover saucepan tightly. Reduce heat to simmer and allow to cook undisturbed for 18-20 minutes. Remove from heat.** Serve and enjoy. Optional: *For a hearty one-dish meal, add 4-6 oz. of any combination of the following: pre-cooked, bite-sized pieces of chicken, pork, or fresh or canned de-veined shrimp at the end of step one. **For a more authentic taste, immediately add one beaten egg (or 1/4 cup egg substitute) to cooked rice and stir-fry until egg is cooked.
