Time: Prep Time: 5 minutes. Cooking Time: 5 minutes. Ingredients: 1 pkg. Sauer's brown gravy mix; 1 cup cold water. Directions: 1. Stir water gradually into gravy mix with whisk in a medium sauce pan; 2. Stirring frequently, cook on medium heat until gravy comes to a boil; 3. Reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes. Gravy will thicken upon standing. Makes 1 cup (4 servings). Variations: Microwave Method: Empty contents of package into a microwaveable bowl. Gradually add 1 cup of water. Microwave on high for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring twice during cooking. Microwave ovens vary; cook time is approximate. Pan Drippings: Stir 3/4 cup of water and gravy mix into drippings. Heat to boiling point, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer two minutes.
