The Brita bottle filter processes up to 40 gallons (151 litres) of tap water. The Brita premium filtering water bottle is intended to be used with a Brita bottle filter inside. Use only with water under 85 degrees F/ 29 degrees C. This system has been tested according to NSF/ANSI 42 for reduction of the substances listed. The concentration of each of the indicated substances in water entering the systems was reduced to a concentration less than or equal to the permissible limit for water leaving the system as specified in NSF/ANSI 42. Testing was performed under standard laboratory conditions at a flow rate of 0.20 gallons (0.75 litres)/minute. The contaminants or other substances removed or reduced by this water treatment device are not necessarily in all users’ water. Filter performance may vary based on local water conditions. Please refer elsewhere in this user’s guide for the proper conditioning, use and care requirements. Maintenance according to the manufacturer’s instructions is essential for proper filter performance. Replace the Brita bottle filter every 40 gallons (151 litres). The Brita bottle water filtration system is not intended to purify water. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. Bottle water). Start Here: (1) Hand-wash bottle, cap and straw with mild dish soap. Rinse well. (2) Important: Rinse filter vigorously for 15 seconds. Flush a strong stream of water through all sides, including the inside. (3) Firmly insert filter into of straw (white tip upward) until flush with top of straw. (4) Reattach straw by aligning straw into lid and twisting to the right. Drink Cleaner: All plastic components, including closure, can be washed in dishwasher (top rack only) or by hand. For stainless steel bottle, hand-wash body. Do not wash filter. Wash regularly. Loosed closure and dry completely before storing. Drink fresher.
