Deep Frying: 1. Preheat oil in deep fryer to 350 degrees F. 2. In a bowl, thoroughly combine mix and water. Let stand 5 minutes. 3. Using a teaspoon, drop batter into oil and fry 3 minutes or until golden brown. 4. Remove from fryer and drain on paper towels. Approximated Yield: 20 yield; 1/2 cup water; 1 cup mix. 30 yield; 3/4 cup water; 1-1/2 cups mix. 40 yield; 1 cup water; 2 cups mix; 60 yield; 1-1/2 cup water; 3 cups mix. Conventional Oven: 1. Combine the following ingredients in a medium-size bowl and mix well: 3/4 cup Hushpuppy mix. 1 egg. 1/2 cup milk or water. 1 tablespoon oil. 2 tablespoons sugar. 2. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Using a tablespoon, scoop batter into a lined or greased mini muffin tin. 3. Cook for 8-10 minutes. 4. Let cool and serve. Note: Water measurements are approximate. Increase or decrease the amount of water as necessary.
