Cake mix is not ready-to-eat and must be thoroughly cooked before eating. To prevent illness from naturally occurring bacteria in wheat flour, do not eat raw batter; wash hands and surfaces after handling. Yield: Full Sheet: Pan Size: 1 no of cakes: 5 x 10 cut serving size: 50 full batch: 25 half batch; Full Sheet: Pan Size: 1 no of cakes: 8 x 8 cut serving size: 64 full batch: 32 half batch; 9 in round : Pan Size: 6 no of cakes: 1/8 cut serving size: 48 full batch: 24 half batch; 8 in round: Pan Size: 7 no of cakes: 1/8 cut serving size: 56 full batch: 28 half batch. Ingredients: Cool water (Approrx 72 degress F): Full batch 5 cups (2 lb 8 oz); Half batch: 2-1/2 cups (1 lb 4 oz); Mix: Full Batch: Full box (5 lb); Half Batch 7-1/2 cups (2 lb 8 oz); Streusel Topping: Full Batch: 6 cups (Approx 2 lb): Half batch: 3 cups (1 lb). Mixing Directions: Machine Mixing. 1. Pour total amount of water into mixer bowl. Add total amount of cake mix. Mix using a paddle attachment on low speed for 1 minute. 2. Scrape bowl and paddle. Mix 1 minute on low speed. 3. Pour 1/2 total batter (3 lb 12 oz for sheet pan into pan. Spread batter evenly. 4. Sprinkle 1 lb (3 cups) of streusel topping over batter evenly. 5. Pour remaining 1/2 batter using a measuring container forming an even layer of batter over the streusel. 6. Sprinkle remaining 1 lb (3 cups) of streusel topping over batter evenly. Hand Mixing: 1. Pour total amount of water into mixing bowl. 2. Add total amount of cake mix. 3. Mix using a rubber spatula or wire whip until batter is smooth. 4. Layer batter and streusel topping as outlined in machine mixing directions. 5. Scale and bake as directed. Note: Medium speed on a 4-speed mixer is speed # 3. Scaling/Pan Preparation Deposit batter into greased and floured or greased and paper-lined pans using the following scaling guide. Sheet Pan Size: 7 lb 8 oz batter recipe: 2 lb (6 cups) Streusel Recipe; 9 in layer Pan Size: 1 lb 4 oz batter recipe: 4 oz Streusel Recipe; 8 in layer Pan Size: 1 lb batter recipe: 3 oz Streusel Recipe. Baking: Oven: Convection (Rotate pans baked in a Convection Oven one-half turn (180 degrees) after 7 minutes of baking) 350 degrees F. Sheets: 20-25 minutes; 9 in Layer: 18-22 minutes; 8 in layer: 18-22 minutes; 20-24 minutes. Standard 375 degrees F: Sheet: 30-35 minutes; 9 in Layer: 20-24 minutes; 8 in layer: 20-24 minutes. High altitude (2500 Ft. and above): to a full box (5 lb) of mix, add an additional 1/2 cup (4 oz) of water and 3/4 cup (3 oz) of flour. Follow package directions for preparing and baking, adding flour with the mix. Increase oven temperatures 25 degrees F. Bake times may vary slightly.
