Cooking Directions on the Stove: In a saucepan bring water to a boil (Cooking Measurement Chart: For drier rice, use 1/4 cup less water. For moister rice, use 1/4 cup more water. 4 Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 1 cup rice; 1-1/2 cups water; 3 cups makes. 8 Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 2 cups rice; 3 cups water; 6 cups makes. 12 Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 3 cups rice; 4-1/2 cups water; 9 cups makes.). 2. Stir in rice. (Add 1 Tbsp butter and 1 tsp salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired.). 3. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes or until all water is absorbed. Direction in the Microwave (It is recommended that only 1 cup rice prepared in the microwave at a time. Microwave ovens vary.
