Cooking Directions: Simmer: for each 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of carrots, bring 1/2 cup water to a boil. Add vegetable and bring to a second boil. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer 5 to 6 minutes, until just tender. Do not overcook. Drain. Season to taste. Steam: pour 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of carrots in vegetable steamer and place over boiling water. Cover and steam 6 to 8 minutes, until just tender. Season to taste. Microwave ovens: Pour carrots in 2-quart microwave-safe dish. Add water and cover. Microwave on high as directed on chart. Drain. Season to taste. Servings - 2 large - 5. Amount - 8oz - 16 oz. Water - 2 tablespoons - 1/4 cup. Cooking time* - 3 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 2 to 4 minutes - 4 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 4 to 6 minutes. *Microwave cooking times may vary from one oven to another. For best results, consult owners manual. Keep frozen until ready to use.
