Directions
Cooking Directions: (1) Measure 2 cups of water and 1 teaspoon salt into a heavy saucepan (at least 2 qt. capacity) and bring to a boil. Add a tablespoon of butter or margarine. (2) Stir in 1 cup of rice. (3) Cover the saucepan. Lower the heat and simmer 20 minutes or until the rice is tender and all the water is absorbed. Makes about 3 cups of fluffy white rice.
