Directions

Basic Cooking Instructions: 1 lb. beans, 12 c. water, 2 tsp. salt. Hand sort and wash before use. Cover beans with water, soak overnight. Drain and rinse. Put beans in slow cooker and cover with water 3 inches above beans. Add seasonings, veg or meat as desired. Cook on low 8-10 hours, high 4-5 hours, or on stove top 2 hours. Additional ingredient ideas include: meaty ham hock, diced bacon, bay leaf, garlic salt, or boullion cubes. Note: Beans are a natural product and despite the use of the most modern cleaning equipment and quality programs; it is not always possible to remove all foreign material. Please hand sort and wash before use.
