Directions

Rinse whole mung beans well before cooking. Closed Pan Cooking: 1. Add 1 cup whole mung beans, 3 cups water, and 1 tsp salt (optional) to a large pot. 2. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer. 3. Cover and cook until tender (about 30-35 minutes). Stove Top Pressure Cooker: 1. Add 1 cup mung beans and 3 cups of water to the pressure cooker. 2. Pressure cook on high for 10-15 minutes (3-4 whistles). 3. Allow to naturally release for 10 minutes then release any remaining pressure.
