Pompeian's OlivExtra California select blend of safflower oil and extra virgin olive oil is the perfect all-purpose oil that's ideal for high-heat cooking. Our safflower oil comes from California and is naturally expeller pressed - extracted by pressing the seeds without the use of chemicals. It is then carefully blended with our extra virgin olive oil. Because of this unique blend, it has a higher smoke point (up to 500 degrees F) than extra virgin olive oil, making it ideal for sauteing and stir-frying chicken, fish, and vegetables, and has the delicious flavor of our extra virgin olive oil.
