Directions

Sort and wash before cooking. Quick Method Recipe: Bring 1 quart water to rolling boil. Slowly stir in 1 cup rinsed beans. Do not let boiling stop. Reduce heat, boil gently until beans are tender, 2 to 2-1/2 hours. Add 1 teaspoon salt last 1/2 hour. Add hot water as needed. If preferred, soak beans overnight and boil gently 1 to 1-1/2 hours or until tender.
