Feeding instructions: These are recommended feeding guidelines that should be adjusted as needed to obtain optimum weight. Provide a bowl of fresh, clean water for your pet at all times. (based on a standard 8 oz. measuring cup). Adult dog weight - 5 lbs. Cups to feed per day - 3/4 cup. Adult dog weight - 10 lbs. Cups to feed per day - 1-1/4 cups. Adult dog weight - 20 lbs. Cups to feed per day - 2 cups. Adult dog weight - 30 lbs. Cups to feed per day - 2-1/2 cups. Adult dog weight - 40 lbs. Cups to feed per day - 3-1/4 cups. Adult dog weight - 60 lbs. Cups to feed per day - 4-1/2 cups. Adult dog weight - 80 lbs. Cups to feed per day - 5-1/2 cups. Adult dog weight - 100 lbs and over. Cups to fee per day - 6-1/2 cups, plus 1/2 additional cup per 10 lbs. of weight over 100 lbs. Be sure to provide plenty of fresh, clean water daily. Adult dogs: Adult dogs with normal activity may be fed once daily. Depending on your dog's age and activity, serving sizes may vary slightly from the recommended daily feeding guide portions. For pregnant and lactating females, feed daily up to 3 times the amount suggested for their non-pregnant weight. Weaning puppies: Start puppies on Dad's bite size meal dog food as soon as they begin to chew on solid food, usually at 3-4 weeks of age. Allow them to eat as much as they want until fully weaned (six to eight weeks of age). To feed moistened, mix 1/4 cupful of water to 2 cupfuls of Dad's bite size meal dog food. Growing puppies: Puppies should be completely weaned by 6-8 weeks of age. After weaning, feed them all they want three times daily to six months of age and twice daily to 12 months of age. If desired, Dad's bite size meal dog food can be fed moistened. Feed pregnant females 1.5 times the amount shown for puppies over 12 months. Feed lactating females up to 3 times the amount shown for puppies over 12 months. Store in a cool, dry place.
