How to use: Pillsbury best whole wheat flour has less baking strength than all purpose flour and bread flour. Best results are obtained when equal parts of whole wheat flour and all purpose flour are combined in recipes. Whole Wheat Bread: 1 (1.4 oz) packet active dry yeast, 1-1/2 teaspoons salt, 2 tablespoons warm water (105-115 degrees F), 2-1/4 cups Pillsbury Best Whole Wheat Flour, divided, 1-1/4 cups hot water, 1-1/4 to 2 cups Pillsbury Best All Purpose Flour, divided non-stick cooking spray, 1/4 cup honey, 2 tablespoons butter. Dissolve yeast in warm water in small bowl. Stir hot water, honey, butter and salt in large bowl until butter is melted. Add 1-1/2 cups Whole Wheat Flour, mix with mixer on low speed until moistened. Mix on medium speed 3 minutes. Add remaining 3/4 cup whole wheat flour to yeast and flour mixture. Mix well. Stir in about 1-1/4 cups All Purpose Flour, until dough pulls cleanly away from sides of bowl. Turn dough out onto floured surface. Knead until dough is smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes, adding additional All Purpose Flour as necessary. Coat large bowl with non-stick cooking spray. Place dough in bowl, turning to coat top. Cover loosely with plastic wrap. Let rise in warm place until doubled in size, about 30 to 45 minutes. Coat 9x5-inch loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray. Punch down dough to remove air bubbles. Shape into loaf. Place in prepared pan. Cover loosely with greased plastic wrap. Let rise in warm place until doubled in size, about 30-45 minutes. Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Uncover dough. Bake 40 minutes* or until loaf sounds hollow when lightly tapped. Remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack. Makes 1 loaf (16 servings). * Directions developed using conventional ovens. Storing: Store flour in an airtight container in a cool place (75 degrees F or cooler) away from heat. For maximum shelf life, flour may be stored in refrigerator or freezer.
