Easy Setup: Brita Original Filters fit in all Brita Pitchers**. Rinse filter with cold water for 15 seconds prior to setup. 1. Insert your filter into the reservoir. Press firmly for a tight seal. 2. Reset. Press and hold the filter life indicator button to reset. 3. Add cold tap water. Discard the first three pitchers or first dispenser of filtered water. Replace filter every 2 months (c) or 40 gallons. **Excluding Stream. (c) Approximate timing based on 40-gallon filter life and average family usage of 11 glasses per day.
